Every operation has different fuel and oil storage needs. And tank capacity is just the beginning. That's why we offer multiple construction and configuration options for our 250-gallon square tanks.
We’ll help you customize your setup, from tank orientation and construction to optional pumps, hoses, and filtration systems. Our tanks are built by skilled workers using time-tested designs for secure storage. Want additional peace of mind? Consider double-wall construction or a UL-142-certified 250-gallon tank.
250-GALLON FUEL AND OIL TANKS
Do 250-gallon fuel tanks require secondary containment (double-wall construction)?
Secondary containment requirements vary by location and may depend on the fuel in storage. Double-wall tanks often (but not always) fulfill secondary containment requirements. And many Amarillo Tanks customers choose double-wall construction even if it isn’t required locally. The tank-within-a-tank setup can help protect against spills and prevent costly cleanup, environmental damage, or fire risk.
Can Amarillo Tanks build a round version of a 250-gallon tank?
The Amarillo Tanks team can build a 250-gallon round tank, but each tank must be custom-made. The ready-to-ship rectangular tanks hold the same amount of fluid in a space-saving design. The rectangular tanks come standard with forklift pockets and a D-ring that make placing the tanks a little easier. If a rounded tank works better for your operation, consider our 300-gallon rounded tank.
How much does a full 250-gallon fuel tank weigh?
When empty, our 250-gallon tanks weigh between about 395 and 787 pounds. Fuel adds roughly 6 to 7 pounds per gallon, so a full tank can weigh well over 2,000 pounds.
