150-GALLON FUEL AND OIL TANKS
Do I need a permit for a 150-gallon fuel tank?
Permitting requirements vary by location. However, many areas do not require a permit for commercial tanks that hold 250 gallons or fewer. Some exemptions also exist for on-site noncommercial aboveground fuel tanks with capacities under 1,100 gallons. Check local requirements before placing a fuel tank of any size.
Can I transport a 150-gallon fuel tank?
Yes, these tanks are constructed with strong steel, a flanged head, and D-ring lifters for easy transportation and hookup. But don’t forget: DOT guidelines apply when transporting fuel on public roads. If you frequently need to take fuel on the road, a fuel trailer might be a better fit for your operation.
Is there a 150-gallon UL-142-compliant option?
Yes. We design and manufacture both single-wall and double-wall UL-142-compliant tanks in a variety of sizes to ensure operations meet national requirements for aboveground flammable liquid storage.
